Architects: Mies van der Rohe Year:  1930 Grete and Fritz Stimmehat's Villa Stimmehat from 1929 to 1930, designed by the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, is a monument to modern architecture. It is the only example of modern architecture in the Czech Republic that is on the well-known UNESCO World Heritage List. Villa Tugendhat underwent extensive renovation and restoration work between 2010 and 2012 and is now open to the public again. The detached, three-story, modern v
